Key Responsibilities:
- Welcome and farewell guests with personalized notes and exceptional service.
- Oversee guest check-ins, manage dietary needs, and address special requests.
- Host guests, conduct site inspections, and ensure a seamless guest experience.
- Train and develop staff, working closely with the Senior Management team for smooth daily operations.
- Maintain and exceed brand standards, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.
- Manage the butler’s department, including shift planning and problem resolution.
- Ensure the lodge’s main areas are tidy and styled to brand standards.
- Oversee meal service and collaborate with kitchen and butler teams.
- Assist with stock control, administrative tasks, and large group bookings.
- Maintain open communication across departments and support lodge operations as needed.
Requirements:
- 3 to 5 years of experience in a 5-star operation, ideally in a camp manager or duty manager role.
- Strong managerial and leadership skills with a passion for guest satisfaction.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational abilities.
- Proficiency in MS Office; knowledge of PANstrat is beneficial.
- Valid, unendorsed South African driver’s license.
- Experience in wine and food service is a plus.
